Project Puthri’s Udyog Utsav 2023
stresses career intentionality
Project Puthri by Avtar Human Capital Trust conducted two editions of Udyog Utsav 2023, an annual career visioning conference, on January 28th in Puducherry.
Puducherry:
Udyog Utsav was held at the Pondicherry University campus with over 300 Puthri scholars from government and aided schools participating in it.
The event was presided over by Dr Supriya K. Vinod, Professor and Principal, College of Physiotherapy, Mother Theresa PG and Research Institute of Health Sciences as Chief Guest,
in her address to the Puthri Scholars, emphasised 4 points –
1. Never give up on yourselves.
2. Tough situations do not last forever.
3. People's option doesn't define you.
4. Hygiene and Fitness are very important for girls.
Professor Gurmeet Singh, Vice Chancellor, Puducherry University, in his Keynote Address, said, “I appreciate Avtar Human Capital Trust to have organized this event.
There are umpteen number of careers, but no one to guide you Puthris for the right career choice.
Very glad this trust will lead you to the path which will optimize your performance.”
Suganthi Viswanathan, Principal, Aklavya International School, Guest of the Honour for the day inaugurated the Puthri Anthem and stressed on 3 Ps - Practice well, Perfect yourself and Perform.
The event comprised awards for the Puthri Scholars who won in the talent contests, honouring of the Puthri schools,
Scholarship to the deserving intentional Puthris pursuing tertiary education, mime program by the Puthris and Krav Maga self-defense workshop.
“This is the first step for you to take bold moves to become amazing leaders, you must become leaders at school level and then at college. You can do whatever you wish, sky is the limit.
It’s an amazing day its Udyog Utsav, today’s the day.
All the resource people here are going to share with you the knowledge for you to rise to the fullest of your potential,” said Dr. Saundarya Rajesh, Managing Trustee, AHCT, in her welcome address.
Other speakers at the event included Dr V Rajesh, Trustee, AHCT, Dr K Anbu, Head (i/c),
Department of Social Work, Pondicherry University, and Professor A. Shahin Sultana, Department of Social Work, Pondicherry University.
Corporates such as Elsevier, eMudhra Ltd, Eaton Power Quality Pvt ltd, Caterpillar India, Landmark Group, Saint Gobain India, & Straive and institutes such as Project Management Institute India, School of Law, Pondicherry University, Dept of Biotechnology,
Pondicherry University and Mother Theresa Post Graduate & Research Institute of Health Sciences shared knowledge with the Puthris on the various career options and the available courses.
